British Cichlid Association

The British Cichlid Association is one of the largest clubs in the U.K.

Members receive the journal Cichlidae six times a year which is an A5 size publication that deals with all aspects of cichlid keeping including Central and South American as well as African cichlids. The club is non profit making and deals not only with the study and keeping of the cichlids more commonly found in the shops, but also the preservation of rare and endangered species through a captive breeding programme.

The current membership stands at around 270. There are usually two main meetings each year which give members the opportunity to hear some of the top cichlid experts, and also acquire new stock through auctions.
