Acentrogobius viridipunctatus(Spotted Green Goby)

A robust goby with distinctive green speckles along its flanks. Males and females are similar, but males have dorsal fins with longer fin rays.

Fish information (behaviour and breeding):

This brackish water goby is rarely maintained in aquarium, but basic care can be assumed to be similar to that of other gobies of similar size, such as the knight goby. Individuals are territorial and will squabble over hiding places. Feeding can be tricky, and specimens will probably need live foods initially, and fresh or wet-frozen foods thereafter.

Although sometimes found in freshwater, this species normally occurs in brackish water and the sea, and may not do well kept under freshwater conditions permanently.
